Project description

Micro-credentials offering certification to people who acquire new skills in a brief period or learn on short courses. This project supported the European Training Foundation (ETF) with guidelines to help providers, credential evaluators, and learners develop and understand them.

The guide is useful to any persons in a position to:

• develop, manage and provide micro-credentials
• facilitate the recognition of micro-credentials at provider, system or regional levels

It is part of the ETF’s thematic support for the qualifications systems of ETF partner countries. These include Türkiye, Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia and countries in the Western Balkans, the Eastern Partnership, the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean, as well as Central Asia.sia.

KIC role

Our team was responsible for the preparation of the guide. To this end, we led a participative process in which 140 experts and stakeholders were consulted in the data collection, drafting and pre-publication stages.
