My career in education started in practice. I worked in schools and early childhood education, including projects on inclusive and outdoor learning. I then moved into education policy at the Slovenian ministries responsible for education. I worked first on EU education policy, then on European and international affairs in higher education.
Before joining KIC, I led the Slovenian ENIC-NARIC Centre, which recognises qualifications gained abroad. So I’ve seen education from very different angles – from the classroom to national policy and the European level.
I’m motivated by connecting policy with practice, so that decisions made in ministries make sense in classrooms.
At KIC, I bring these perspectives together, with a focus on education, skills, and qualifications systems.
Outside work, I enjoy spending time in nature – and I always seem to find something new to try.
