Project description
The need and value of Quality Assurance (QA) in education is often underappreciated. QALead aimed to support institutional leaders to make best use of the results of QA to improve education. The project provided them with the means to translate their knowledge of quality education into a quality management system that is fit for purpose. QALead helps leaders to take the lead in the development, implementation, and improvements of institutional Quality management systems.
The project also aimed to change attitudes towards quality assurance – from a compliance focused mind-set to a focus on the needs of learners, enterprise, and society.
KIC role
We led the collaborated with our partners in the development of all intellectual outputs. In particular we
- Developed training
- authored the initial training materials
- Produced a QA manual for institutional leaders (IO1)
- managed internal and external communication, including developing the networking strategy and dissemination planning
