Project description
WINDEE focuses on improving well-being for students and teachers in digital learning environments—an often overlooked but crucial area in today’s increasingly digital classrooms.
Funded by Erasmus+ for 36 months, WINDEE brings together eight European partners to gather evidence, create solutions, and test policy changes that enhance digital well-being in education.
The project is developing a comprehensive digital well-being framework that considers:
- person-specific factors: Digital skills and health considerations
- context-specific factors: Learning environment, course design and school culture
- device-specific factors: Types of digital tools and best practices for balanced use
WINDEE will deliver
- a practical Digital Well-being Framework
- training materials and courses for teachers
- a handbook for schools and universities
- policy recommendations for national and EU policymakers
- real-world case studies of successful approaches
- a supportive learning community focused on digital well-being
Through these tools, WINDEE aims to embed digital well-being into educational policies across Europe, ensuring technology enhances rather than hinders learning and overall well-being.
