KIC together with the Opening up Slovenia initiative co-organised the ‘SEQUENT Consultation Sessions’ which took place on Monday 9 March 2015 at Jozef Stefan Institute, Ljubljana Slovenia.
The event is part of a series of ‘SEQUENT Consultation Sessions’ being held around Europe, with the aim of informing educational organisations, particularly QA Agencies and Higher Education Institutions about the latest developments in Quality Assurance of online, distance and open learning, as well as more general innovations in education which may affect quality.
The event was held as part of the Open Education Week 2015 – a celebration of the global Open Education Movement. Its purpose is to raise awareness about open education and its impact on teaching and learning worldwide. Open education encompasses resources, tools and practices that employ a framework of open sharing to improve educational access and effectiveness. Participation in all events and use of all resources are free and open to everyone.
During the seminar, Mr. Camilleri gave a presentation on Quality Assurance of Open and Flexible Learning, and moderated a discussion with participants on the state of Open Education Policies in Slovenia.
